I can think of improvements for Hinds' dictionary (MSA equivalents for colloquial terms would be great, for example, as would Arabic script for derivative forms & example sentences, & it'd be amazing to have a pocket edition), but this book is so damned good that it should really serve as a rôle model for learners' dictionaries.5/5(6).

Egyptian Arabic is also widely understood in other Arab countries, making this dictionary and phrasebook a very useful communication tool for visitors to these countries as well. The two-way dictionary section is extensive, and contains a wealth of words and phrases commonly used by Egyptians as they go about their daily lives, and beyond.4/5(9).
